36 Finalists: MN Book Awards Blog Feature

As part of the upcoming 32nd Annual Minnesota Book Awards, organizers the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library are featuring one of the 36 finalists each day leading up to the big announcement on April 28th. Yesterday, they featured Allen Eskens, who I co-presented with at the Heartland Fall Forum’s Moveable Feast event. It was a treat to get to present with him, in part because I’ve been a fan of his for several years, but also because he was a gracious and complementary presenter. His book, Nothing More Dangerous, is a finalist in the Genre Fiction category (and was coincidentally also released the same day as mine on November 12, 2019). Good luck on the 28th Allen!

Today, the Friends featured me and my story on their blog. We talked about what it’s like to be a finalist, and some about what went into the writing of The Twenty-Ninth Day. You can read the full interview here.
