Book Review and Story in the Star Tribune

This past weekend, The Star Tribune ran a combo book review and story about The Twenty-Ninth Day. Both authored by Lou Dzierzak, the review shared his thoughts on the text, and the interview offered some of my experiences in going through the bear attack and the aftermath.

“The Twenty-Ninth Day” is the kind of book that requires the reader to set some time aside. Intrigued to find out what happens next, phone calls will go to voice mail and work deadlines will get postponed. His story is a solid addition to the genre of wilderness survival tales.

– Lou Dzierzak in Book review: Story befits a harrowing encounter with a grizzly in the wild

Read both the review, and ‘I wanted to live’: Minnesotan inspired to talk — and write — about grizzly bear attack at The Star Tribune.
